Android Apps

Amazon created an Android app called the Internet, and it’s now available in India

Amazon is one of the most innovative companies in 2018. It has quietly launched products all around the world and has recently launched an Android App “Internet: fast, lite, and private” on Google Play Store. The app recently came to the attention thanks to a report by TechCrunch.

As per the report, the Internet app by Amazon is only available in India. The app is only 2 MB in size compared to other browsers like Chrome (21MB), Firefox (19.9MB), Opera (14.7MB), and Edge (54.5MB) according to an analysis by appFigures. While browsers like chrome, firefox, and more.. are doing great. Amazon is making the task easy by not asking for extra permission repeatedly while downloading an app and features private mode.

It reminds us of Internet.org. However, Amazon is on to something and is working to resolve the issues for the emerging markets.
