Finally, the Chromecast with Google TV is available in India, but is it really worth it?

You may expect to spend around $30 more than you would for a similar item in the United States.

With Google TV and the $50 Chromecast that was released in 2020, Australia, Europe, and the United States now have a compelling and affordable streaming option. As a pity, it didn’t reach India at the time; however, this has already been rectified.

According to Google, Flipkart is now selling the Chromecast with Google TV for Rs 6,399 (about $80.48) in India. According to the search giant, this streaming device will be available “soon” at other merchants as well.

In addition to supporting 4K HDR playback, Dolby Vision, and the Google TV platform, the new streaming device also features enhanced suggestions, multiple profiles, and support for watchlists. With the latter platform, you’ll also have access to a far larger selection of apps.

The device’s storage, on the other hand, reveals its low price tag, with just 8GB available. In addition, the gadget costs around $30 more in India. This means that consumers looking for greater storage or a lower cost option should check out the streaming TV boxes offered by other companies.
